At this magnification, the distribution of GRP immunoreactivity resembles that of CGRP, and many profiles are double-labelled (some shown with arrowheads). However, there are also GRP-immunoreactive profiles that lack CGRP and are strongly stained with the VGLUT2 antibody, and three of these are indicated with arrows. Scale bar = 50 μm.
