Shortening of the onset time of ischemia-induced inward currents by capsaicin stimulation. A). In this experiment, focal stimulation (100 μA, 100 Hz) was applied to dorsal root entry zone while ischemic bath solution was applied to the spinal cord slice preparation. Note that in this sample trace, stimulation artifacts were superimposed on the inward currents. C). Pooled results from experiments represented in A (open bar, n = 6) and B (solid bar, n = 4).
