From: Glial TNFα in the spinal cord regulates neuropathic pain induced by HIV gp120 application in rats
Immunofluorescent photomicrographs of TNFα in the spinal dorsal horn in rats treated with gp120. Triple-label immunostaining of GFAP, TNFα and NeuN was carried out. There was an almost complete colocalization between GFAP (blue) and TNFα (red) imaging, but TNFα did not colocalize with NeuN (green), which suggests that TNFα is located in the astrocytes, but not neurons.
