Facilitatory actions of galanin via activation of GalR2 on mechano-nociceptor afferents [A] Mechanical activation thresholds were reduced by c.i.a 100 μM galanin in naïve rats (*** p < 0.001 Mann Whitney test, n = 24) and [B] mechanically evoked activity was increased by c.i.a 100 μM galanin in response to a 10 g vF hair mechanical stimulus (**p < 0.01 paired t-test).
