Double immuno-labeling with GSK-3βP and nociceptive markers (IB4 and CGRP), and mechanoreceptive marker (NF200) from the level of QUIS-injection 14 days following SCI. Merged images demonstrate co-localization of nociceptive markers (afferent c-fibers) or mechanoreceptive markers (myelinated A-fibers) with GSK-3βP. Yellow regions indicate protein co-localization. GSK-3βP was highly expressed in small-diameter, nociceptive neurons (arrowheads) and less frequent in large, mechanoreceptive fibers. Scale bar indicates 25 μm.
