M1627K currents decay slower than WT Na v 1.7 currents. Representative WT (A) and M1627K (B) Nav1.7 currents are shown. Cells were held at -100 mV and currents were elicited with 50 ms test pulses to potentials ranging from -80 to 40 mV. For better comparison, WT and M1627K currents elicited with -30 mV (C) and +25 mV (D) depolarizations are shown superimposed. Although the rate of activation is not apparently altered, the decay phase is substantially faster for WT currents.
