Administration of PD-98059 inhibits acetic acid-induced abdominal pain. (A) Time course of 1% acetic acid (250 μl, i.p.)-induced visceral pain behavior (mean ± SE). Number of abdominal constrictions (writhes) after acetic acid administration was significantly inhibited by intrathecal pretreatment of PD-98059 in a dose dependent manner.
